Lazio coach Igor Tudor is hoping to link up with Fiorentina midfielder Antonin Barak once more following their prosperous collaboration at Hellas Verona.

The 29-year-old has been a staple in Serie A since making the move from Slavia Praga to Udinese in 2017. While he managed to find some recognition in Friuli, Barak truly rose to prominence at Verona, especially in the 2021/22 campaign under the guidance of Tudor. The attacking midfielder formed a formidable trio up front with Gianluca Caprari and Giovanni Simeone, lifting the Gialloblu to unprecedented heights in the modern era.

Afterwards, the Czech international joined Fiorentina but hasn’t been able to carve himself a starting berth at Vincenzo Italiano’s court. This season, he has thus far made 26 appearances in all competitions, with the vast majority coming off the bench. He contributed with four goals all told.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Tudor is targeting a reunion with Barak as he looks to revamp the Lazio squad in the summer. The source believes the midfielder is on his way out of Florence, with the Viola setting their price at €10 million.

The player’s contract with the Tuscan club is valid until June 2026. He could arrive as a replacement for Luis Alberto who publicly declared his intention to leave Lazio in the summer, albeit Barak’s attributes are different from the Spaniard’s.
