Marseille interested in Lazio’s Luis Alberto | OneFootball

Ligue 1 side Marseille are interested in the possibility of landing Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto in the summer transfer window.

A couple of weeks ago, Luis Alberto had publicly stated that he will leave Lazio at the end of the season and he will not take a penny from the club by having his contract at the club terminated. It seems as if he might well be destined to depart in the summer.

Il Messaggero (via TMW) state that while Luis Alberto’s words didn’t sit right with club CEO Claudio Lotito, but the time will come for both parties to negotiate a potential exit in the summer. The parties have agreed that the decisive meeting will take plaace after the 26th of May, when the season comes to a close.

Marseille are one club who are pressing for the Spaniard’s signature and Sevilla are also interested in the player. But the likelihood is that the most financially lucrative offer for the midfielder could come from Qatar, where Al Duhail are interested and are ready to make an offer.

Their offer could meet the demands of the player and Lazio, who could receive more than €10 million from the player’s sale.
