LEÓN, Mexico – The 2024 Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship is in the history books following Mexico’s 2-1 win over the USA in the final on Sunday night at the Estadio León in León, Guanajuato, Mexico.

The runners-up led the way with top performances throughout the tournament, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.

Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Nikolas Tsakiris, USA

Nikolas Tsakiris was named the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, for his involvement in helping the USA to its fourth consecutive Concacaf Men's U-20 Championship Final.

The U.S. midfielder had two goals and two assists to help the defending champions return to the championship game. The U.S. had the best offense in the tournament with 18 goals during the 2024 edition.

Tsakiris had previously helped the U.S. to a winner’s medal at the 2022 edition, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist in the final against the Dominican Republic.

Best Goalkeeper Award: Yurdy Hodelin, Cuba

Yurdy Hodelin was recognized as the tournament's Best Goalkeeper for his play with semifinalists Cuba. The 18-year-old shot-stopper had 23 saves throughout the 2024 edition.

Hodelin was a key player as Cuba qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the second time ever.

With 11 saves in the group stage, Cuba advanced to the quarterfinals with a 1-1-1 record in Group A with Costa Rica, USA, and Jamaica.

He provided five saves as Cuba went to extra time and penalties against Honduras for a spot in the semifinals and the World Cup ticket.

Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco: David Vazquez, USA

David Vazquez finished the tournament with the Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, for his three goals with USA.

Vasquez scored a brace in the first three minutes of the U.S.’s opening match, a 9-nil win against Jamaica. He also scored the opening goal in the USA's 2-1 victory over Panama in the semifinals to help the USA reach the final.

Fair Play Award: USA

The USA has earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
