Former PSG captain Mamadou Sakho has made his return to France, signing with Montpellier, while OGC NICE have signed a third Netherlands international in the form of midfielder Pablo Rosario.

Eight years after, Mamadou Sakho is back in the French championship! Free of any contract after his adventure at Crystal Palace in the English Premier League, the French international has chosen the Stade de la Mosson for the next three seasons. Experience

An experienced defender, Sakho is now at just his second French club after coming up through the academy at PSG and claiming the captain's armband until he left in 2013. His experiences across the Channel with Liverpool and Crystal Palace - but also his 29 caps with Les Bleus - will bring a lot to the Montpellier backline. Club president Laurent Nicollin was pleased with Sakho's arrival in the Hérault region: "We're happy to finally have him with us! He will be able to train this afternoon with the aim of being operational as soon as possible. He will bring us his experience, his desire and his panache. I hope he will be one of the leaders to teach our youngsters and help them progress."
