Victor Osimhen’s next destination remains up in the air, but Liverpool’s Reds could be the ones to decide the Nigerian striker’s fate.

On his way out of Napoli, Victor Osimhen is searching for an exit. The former Lille forward is entering the final year of his contract with reigning Italian champions Napoli, who have no intention of missing out on a major payday.

After a loan spell at Galatasaray last season, the Nigerian has seen the Turkish club show strong motivation to keep him. However, Napoli’s management are tough negotiators. That’s where English side Liverpool come into play.

According to the latest reports from Transferfeed, if Galatasaray fail to secure Victor Osimhen, they have a less expensive plan B lined up in Darwin Núñez. The Uruguayan international striker has lost his confidence at Liverpool, and his market value—estimated at €45 million—does not deter the Turkish giants.

A move elsewhere could offer Núñez more playing time. Galatasaray are ready to seize this opportunity and save money, since the Osimhen deal is particularly costly (€75 million in total). This could force the Nigerian to look for opportunities elsewhere.
