Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the verge of leaving Chelsea.

The former Arsenal captain’s spell at Stamford Bridge has been something of a disaster and he was always expected to form part of their summer exodus.

Interest in Aubameyang, 34, has initially appeared low, but Fabrizio Romano now reports that the Gabon striker has agreed a three-year contract with Ligue 1 giants Marseille.

Aubameyang is said to be keen on a move to France and negotiations between OM and Chelsea are expected to progress smoothly and quickly.

Done deal! Fulham re-sign Willian on one-year deal

Willian’s return to Fulham is now official.

As Standard Sport confirmed earlier, the former Chelsea and Arsenal winger is back on an improved one-year deal after impressing at Craven Cottage last term and pulling out of a move to Nottingham Forest at the 11th hour.

“I’m completely happy. Happy to sign one more year with Fulham,” Willian told FFC TV.

“Happy to continue the work that I did last season with all my teammates and the whole Club. I think it’s a club that can do even better this season, so I’m happy to continue this amazing adventure.”

Chelsea join race for Japan wonderkid Keisuke Goto

Chelsea have entered the race to sign Keisuke Goto, reports claim.

The young Japanese forward, 18, has turned heads with his performances for his country’s Under-20 side and J2 League club Jubilo Iwata.

West Ham, Ajax, Feyenoord and Sevilla have also been credited with an interest in the 6ft 3in striker, though the Daily Mail report that Chelsea are keen to make him their next youth signing following deals for the likes of Angelo Gabriel, Diego Moreira, Kendry Paez, Dujuan Richards, Alex Matos and more already in this window.

Goto was recently forced to withdraw from Japan’s U20 World Cup squad due to injury, but apparently that is not dissuading interest in a summer transfer.

No Andre Onana to Man United announcement yet

There will be no confirmation of Andre Onana’s much-anticipated move to Manchester United tonight, it seems.

The hope had been among fans that a protracted switch to Old Trafford for the Cameroon goalkeeper worth around £47m would finally be completed and announced this evening.

However, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano now reports that Onana is still with Inter Milan at their pre-season training camp and is waiting to travel to Manchester in order to sign his contract and undergo a medical.

He will apparently make the trip later this week, so still some time to wait yet.

Chelsea drop transfer hints with USA tour squad

Plenty of potential transfer hints in Chelsea’s 29-man squad for their pre-season tour of the United States, which has been confirmed tonight.

As expected, there is no Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech or Callum Hudson-Odoi, with that quartet surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja miss out due to injury, while Reece James hasn’t travelled yet due to illness.

Arteta reveals Arsenal timeline for Balogun decision

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal will make a decision on the future of Folarin Balogun after giving him a chance to impress on their pre-season tour of the United States.

The striker’s Gunners future has been subject to increasing doubt despite a prolific loan spell last term in which he scored 22 goals in 39 matches during a season-long stint in France with Ligue 1 side Reims.

Balogun wants to secure a regular starting role next season and that is unlikely to come at Arsenal amid fierce competition for places for that central forward role from the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, while he is unwilling to go out on loan again after also spending time in the Championship at Middlesbrough last year.

Arsenal are ready to cash in on the 22-year-old as a result, with Inter Milan having now made him their top striker target for the summer after walking away from talks with Chelsea over a permanent deal for former loanee Romelu Lukaku amid rival interest from Juventus.

Mikel Arteta hints at further Arsenal signings

Mikel Arteta insists that Arsenal will remain “alert” to further potential transfer business this summer.

The Gunners have made a statement start to the current window, smashing their club record with the blockbuster £105million signing of England midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham.

Arsenal have also signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Dutch defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax, taking their summer transfer spend already to beyond the £200m mark.

But things aren’t expected to stop there, with Arteta believed to want to further bolster his squad in order to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title once again next term and also compete on their first return to the Champions League since the 2016/17 season.

However, further outgoings are also expected, with Arsenal having already bid farewell to the likes of Granit Xhaka as interest continues to build in other players such as Folarin Balogun and Thomas Partey. Others such as Nicolas Pepe and Cedric Soares appear to surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium, meanwhile.

Man United to step up talks over Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United are set to step up talks over Rasmus Hojlund, reports claim.

The Danish international, 20, appears to be Erik ten Hag’s No1 striker target for the summer after a breakout season in Serie A with Atalanta.

United are eager to sign a player who has earned favourable early comparisons with a certain Erling Haaland, having already engaged in talks.

Now with the Andre Onana deal seemingly in the bag, the Daily Mail report that they will have more time to devote to pursuing Hojlund, with plans to resume discussions with Atalanta and now more money to work with after knocking down the fee for Onana.

Atalanta are said to want around £85m for Hojlund, though it is said that an offer closer to £65m may well do the trick.
