RC Lens thought they had wrapped up the Lassine Sinayoko deal, but AJ Auxerre backed out at the last minute. The club refused to let the player travel north for his medical. While all hope is not yet lost for the club from Artois, Lassine Sinayoko remains, for now, an AJA player.

This situation hasn't gone unnoticed by Stade Rennais. Although the Breton side has not yet made any concrete moves with the Icaunais club, SRFC, which is still in talks with Esteban Lepaul, is now turning its attention to the Malian striker.
