Transfer links between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae are “wide of the mark.”

This according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg. He reports in a tweet that despite rumours, the 27-year-old has no plans to leave Bayern this summer.

Recent reports have linked former Napoli and Fenerbahce defender Min-Jae with a return to Serie A.

The South Korean international only left Napoli last summer. He made the big money move to German giants Bayern.

However, there is a sense that the transfer has not quite gone according to plan.

Min-Jae has struggled to nail down a starting place for himself at the Allianz Arena. He has not shown the same sort of form he had with Napoli.

Therefore, there have been rumours that an exit is already on the cards for Min-Jae.

This is particularly the case given that Bayern have already made a big defensive signing in the form of Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart, and are reportedly still chasing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.

Reportedly, Inter are keeping close tabs on the situation of Min-Jae at Bayern.

And the Nerazzurri would particularly see the 27-year-old as a prospective replacement in the event that Stefan de Vrij heads for the exit door.

Dutch international de Vrij has been at the centre of one or two transfer rumours recently. Reportedly, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad want to sign the 32-year-old.

And if Min-Jae were to be available then he would certainly constitute a high-quality replacement for de Vrij.

According to German journalist Plettenberg, however, Min-Jae will stay at Bayern this summer.

The journalist claims that the South Korean has no plans on a departure from Bavaria just twelve months after last summer’s big money move.
