Outgoing goalkeeper, Joe Hart, has decieed to call time upon his wonderful career in the professional game and has given Celtic the last few good years he had left in the tank.

His aura and personality will truly be missed around about the club and Brendan Rodgers and the recruitment team will have some job trying to replicate and replace the impact Joe has had on that Celtic squad in the last couple of years.

The net has been cast far and wide and we have already been associated with names in every direction imaginable. There have been reports of Liverpool goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kellher, being eyed up as a potential replacement for the 37-year-old Hart, whilst Anthony Patterson of Sunderland and Trabzonspor’s Uğurcan Çakır; although all three men would cost considerably more than Celtic would be willing to spend on any one player.

Sinisalo would fall into the category of player where the Hoops have been known to shop, with a reported £3 million price-tag on the current Exeter City star’s head, following a great year under former Celts, Gary Caldwell in League One. Having previously played for Ayr United in Scotland back in 2020/21, the Aston Villa goalkeeper is attracting interest after his stellar campaign in the lower leagues.

Reports in his homeland, via Football Scotland, of Finland claim that the player only has 12 months left on his current deal at the Claret and Blues and as a result, others have been altered to his relative availability.

However, it is also claimed that Aston Villa would like to hold onto the ‘keeper longer term to compete with the likes of Emi Martinez, Robin Olsen and Joe Guaci. But with a the Fin being a long way down that chain, he may well feel the time has come to move on from Villa Park.
