It is trophy day in Glasgow as Celtic prepare to collect the Cinch Premiership title. After confirming their status as Scottish Champions by blowing Killie away during the week, Brendan Rodgers’ side will get to pick up the trophy.

The Celtic manager said that he wants his side to sprint across the finish line this season and the performance at Rugby Park was indicative of that. With the Cup Final next weekend, the manager will expect standards to remain high.

Team News

The game will be Joe Hart’s last at Celtic Park. The 37-year-old will be hanging up his gloves at the end of the campaign and it will be an emotional afternoon for the Englishman, who has been a huge player since arriving from Spurs in 2021. Hart has won six trophies since becoming the club’s first pick number one and he will want to go out with a seventh by beating Rangers in the Cup Final at Hampden next weekend.

Hopefully the manager will keep a substitute until the closing stages of the game for Hart to come off and hear just how much the Celtic supporters adore him.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales will start in the heart of defence with Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor in the full back positions.

Brendan will likely go for the same midfield three with Callum McGregor starting alongside POTY Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate.

Adam Idah started in the win over Killie but you’d imagine Kyogo to get the nod from the start. James Forrest and Daizen Maeda will likely continue in attack.

Predicted XI: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate; Forrest, Kyogo, Maeda.
