Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga is also much sought after and today has brought several updates on where his future may lie.

After losing out on Rice, Manchester City are currently considering moving for the 21-year-old to add to their options in the centre of the park but will again face stiff competition from London.

The Standard report that if Mason Mount leaves Chelsea as expected, they will make a move for Veiga as they believe midfield depth is required with so many players in that position departing this summer.

Veiga has a release clause in his contract of just £34.6m, which is appealing to both Premier League suitors.

Carlo Ancelotti has requested a move for Serie A’s top scorer Victor Osimhen but the Athletic report that Real Madrid’s hierarchy are unwilling to put up the kind of cash it would require to do a deal for the Napoli forward.

In Portugal, Correio da Manhã believe that Benfica are prepared for Gonçalo Ramos’ release clause, close to €80m, being met and expect Manchester United to pay it.

The Guardian claim that the Chelsea clearout is set to continue with Callum Hudson-Odoi available for sale and Nottingham Forest are in line to make a £15m offer.

Not everyone has been tempted by the riches on offer from the Saudi Professional League, with Leicester striker Jamie Vardy turning down an offer from Khaleej FC, according to Sky Sports.

One player who may move on from the Foxes though is Harvey Barnes, with Birmingham Live linking him with a move to Aston Villa, following in Youri Tielemans’ foosteps.

Italy international Nicolò Zaniolo has admitted that he would be open to a return home after just six months at Galatasaray.

And he has one team in particular in mind.

“I’m open to anything and that includes staying at Galatasaray. Obviously Juve are Juve, even without the Champions League or other international tournaments,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I have supported Juve since I was a kid and Paul Pogba is my idol. Playing there would make me happy, it is a big club. If the opportunity makes everyone happy – Galatasaray, Juventus and myself – then it is very welcome. Otherwise, I’m happy in Turkey.”
