The Athletic report that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Leicester’s 21-year-old French centre-back Wesley Fofana, with the fee believed to be £70m.

Sky Sports claim that Cristiano Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes has approached Napoli over a potential move for the Manchester United forward.

Corriere dello Sport however say that Mendes has in fact been in contact with Milan over his client joining before the end of the window.

Transfer expert David Ornstein told the Handbreak Off podcast that Arsenal are still active in the transfer market: “They are still active in the market – that’s in terms of a potential incoming and outgoings too. Incoming – we know Arsenal would like to bring in a wide player. Ideally, that player would be Pedro Neto of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

“He is now the recruitment priority for Arsenal. He’s a player that they’ve liked for a long time. Now is the time Mikel Arteta would like to move for him.”
