Welcome to Friday’s round-up of all of the latest news and rumours from across the world of transfers.
Chelsea kicked the weekend off in style by announcing their €45m signing of Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
After Wesley Fofana was forced to undergo another knee operation last month, the Blues turned to Ligue 1 in their bid to add more defensive depth.
Disasi, who has four France caps, has signed a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are also preparing alternatives in the event that they don’t land top midfield target Moisés Caicedo, with the Evening Standard claiming that they are interested in Leandro Paredes, who Mauricio Pochettino knows from his time at PSG.
Multiple reports claim that Bournemouth have agreed a £12m fee with Fiorentina to sign midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Italian champions Napoli are eager to add to their midfield options by pursuing Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners and are willing to part with €30m to get their man.
The same outlet also claim that despite Atalanta appearing to have all but secured a deal for Milan flop Charles De Ketelaere, Fulham have entered the race at the 11th hour and are looking to make a late play to convince the Belgian.
With their top targets being lured elsewhere, Juventus are now considering a move for Habib Diarra of Strasbourg, according to Calciomercato.
Franck Kessié’s departure from Barcelona will soon be confirmed after just one season at Camp Nou as he closes in on a €15m move to Saudi Arabia.
The same is also true of Ousmane Dembélé, who is likely to be announced by PSG on Saturday on a five-year deal.
Tottenham face continued difficulties in their protracted pursuit of Micky van de Ven, with the Daily Mail reporting that Wolfsburg continue to hold out for their £43m asking price but they have cooled their interest in fellow Bundesliga defender Edmond Tapsoba.
However, they are closing in on exciting Argentine talent Alejo Véliz, with the striker set to be signed this weekend on a deal until the summer of 2028.
The Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool rumour refuses to go away. SportBild insist that the Reds continue to show an interest in the Bayern Munich midfielder.
Lazio are likely to officially announce free agent Daichi Kamada later today.
Eddie Howe has hinted that Tino Livramento’s anticipated move to Newcastle may be gathering some momentum.
“I’m slightly in the dark on that,” Howe told reporters on Friday morning. “Let’s wait and see what happens in the next couple of days but certainly I like the player.”
Exciting Manchester City youngster Carlos Borges departed for Ajax, who also completed the signing of goalkeeper Diant Ramaj from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Arsenal defender Auston Trusty departed in a £5m move to Sheffield United.
Rangers also got the long-awaited arrival of José Cifuentes over the line from LAFC.
