Chelsea can seal the deal Jadon Sancho for £88m

According to Mirror (h/t Football.london), Chelsea can look to sign Jadon Sancho in a cut-price deal next season. Subtle hints have come from Borussia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke that the star forward could be allowed to leave.

With the effects of the pandemic still being felt by most clubs across Europe, Watzke has spoken about how he intends to keep the club and its financial state in balance.

“In the midst of a pandemic, I no longer rule anything out. But it is not necessarily aspired to. Above all, there is the financial balance: that we have a strong team on the field and are economically stable at the same time. Asking banks for credit lines at the drop of a hat just to avoid selling a player will not be our way.”

Due to cost-cutting measures, it is being said that the German club could accept a transfer fee of around £88m. Despite Manchester United being constantly linked to the youngster, Chelsea could steal a march on their rivals.
