Former Arsenal youngster Trae Coyle has no regrets about leaving the club.
The promising talent had been with the club for 11 years, but chose to move on to Swiss side Lausanne-Sport.
Despite training with Mikel Arteta's first team during the COVID-19 lockdown and subsequent resumption of action, Coyle knew his future lay away from the club.
"For me, it was definitely the time to leave," he told the Mirror.
"It was best for my development that I left, experience something new and played senior football somewhere.
"Leaving some of my friends, a lot of the coaches that had helped me a lot, that was tough having been there for so long.
"But the decision to leave was what I thought was best for my career.
"The sporting director here has known me since I was quite young. He reached out to some people around me and said he'd love to have me here.
"I looked into the league and the club, and the main thing that attracted me was the club has probably one of the youngest teams in Europe.
"That was a big attraction for me, and I felt like at this stage of my career it was just best to have a fresh start."
He added: "I'm enjoying it. I've always wanted to live abroad, and the country itself is really nice - it's very different to London!
"Learning a new language and the way of living out here is something I'm enjoying at the moment, and hopefully I can continue and keep pushing on."
