Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Trabzonspor have joined the race to sign RWDM forward Mickaël Biron. The former Oostende forward recently returned from injury and grabbed his first goal since coming back in a 3-2 defeat to Union St Gilloise during the week. Gent look set to lose another forward in Hugo Cuypers, with Gift Orban having already left this January to Lyon. Without a new forward and no Cuypers, they would be extremely light up front.

Biron first moved to Belgium in 2021 when he joined Oostende from Nancy. However, he never made an appearance for the coastal club. He was loaned back to the French side, where he scored 8 goals in 34 games. On his return to Belgium in the summer of 2022, he was sold to RWDM. In 42 games for the side he has scored 19 goals and was a key contributor to their promotion last time around.

Biron has also been capped at international level by Martinique.
