There’s a delicacy to this moment for Tottenham Hotspur. Not quite crisis, not yet catharsis — rather, that liminal space where decisions define seasons. Ange Postecoglou, firm in philosophy but quietly aware of margins, faces a series of fine judgements as Spurs host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-final first leg.

The focal point of this lineup prediction is the right flank. Wilson Odobert, bright and incisive in the last round against AZ Alkmaar, finds himself in a quiet contest with Brennan Johnson, who appeared alongside Postecoglou in Wednesday’s press conference — a subtle nod, perhaps, to his growing stature.

Johnson’s 16 goals this season speak for themselves, though Postecoglou maintains his appreciation for Odobert’s “unique” attributes. The call here is as much about tempo as it is output.
In defence, stability returns in the form of Micky van de Ven, likely to replace Ben Davies at centre-back. The full-back puzzle, however, remains unresolved. Pedro Porro and Djed Spence are favoured to start, with Destiny Udogie again at risk of being overlooked after an inconsistent spell.

The absence of Radu Dragusin and Kevin Danso further narrows options at the back, forcing a reliance on familiarity and form.
Postecoglou appears to have settled on a preferred midfield. Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall continue to impress, holding off competition from Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma, and Archie Gray. In the No.10 role, James Maddison remains a vital creative force, set to start for a third time in a week despite the intense schedule.

Heung-min Son and Dominic Solanke are virtual certainties to lead the line. Johnson, given form and favour, is likely to complete the front three. With Richarlison, Mikey Moore and Mathys Tel among the substitutes, Postecoglou has tools to adjust if the night tightens.
