Thomas Frank, who was appointed as Spurs manager earlier this summer, is eager to bring in top-level talent to strengthen the squad.

The Danish manager has already overseen the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, and is now targeting Rodrygo to boost his attacking options.

Competition growing for Rodrygo

Tottenham are not the only club interested in the Madrid attacker.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been linked with him.

Rodrygo’s ability to play anywhere across the front line makes him an enticing option.

He featured regularly for Madrid last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions.

Spurs believe the Brazilian’s quality and experience at the highest level can help them compete next season.

The club’s focus this summer is to add players with proven output and versatility in the final third.

Rodrygo fits that profile and would add more depth and flair to the Tottenham attack.

Tottenham are expected to push hard to sign him in the coming weeks, but will need to pay a massive fee to secure his services.
