Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated South Korean winger Min-hyuk Yang from Gangwon FC, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old will join the club in January after spending the remainder of the season with his current side.

Yang burst onto the scene in the K League 1, becoming the youngest scorer in the competition in over a decade.

His seven goals in 24 matches have caught the eye of clubs across Europe, but Spurs have secured his signature ahead of rival interest.

The teenager will link up with compatriot Heung-min Son at Tottenham as manager Ange Postecoglou continues to shape his squad for the upcoming season.

South Korean journalist Sungmo Lee had nothing but praise in his reports about Yang, hailing him as the best young player in the K League.

Lee said (via football.london): “Yang showed great performances in the K League this season, winning the Young Player of the Month award three times in a row from April to June.

“He is a great dribbler but also possesses great finishing skills, which makes Korean fans hope that he can become the next Son Heung-min, especially if he joins the same club with Son in Tottenham.”

Spurs have already added young talents to their ranks this summer, with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall arriving from Leeds United and Djurgarden.

The club has also extended Timo Werner’s loan deal for another season.
