Tottenham Hotspur are in the middle of a fascinating race for the top four but it appears they are already looking ahead to the summer window.
Ange Postecoglou has done a brilliant job and it will get better for Spurs if they can secure Champions League football next season.
Aston Villa are currently occupying fourth place with 49 points, but Tottenham are only two points behind. Manchester United are five points behind Villa and also in contention.
Irrespective of where Spurs finish, they will be looking to bolster the squad as Postecoglou will be backed this summer. And signing a new midfielder is a top priority for the club.
According to a report from Fanatik, Spurs are closely following Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski.
The 24-year-old has been in terrific form this season, and Tottenham could make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
The north London club could face strong competition from AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.
Szymanski has been in terrific form for Fenerbahce this season. The 24-year-old has been involved in 12 goals and 14 assists for the Turkish club, and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
He has a contract at the club until 2027, but Fenerbahce fear he could leave this summer.
If Spurs secure Champions League football next season, they will be in a strong position to spend money on quality players, and Szymanski could be one of them.
He is an established Poland international with 30 caps to his name. The former Dynamo Moscow midfielder is about to enter the prime years of his career, and Spurs can pull off a blinder by signing him.
