The sports community is eagerly awaiting the final match between 2024-25 Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain and Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur.
Prior to this crucial encounter, Tottenham received reports that 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was unlikely to feature in the final between the two teams. The Italian played a major role in helping the team reach the Champions League final last season, making outstanding saves against Arsenal, Aston Villa, and other matches.
The player faces numerous rumors about his future with Paris Saint-Germain, given that he only has one year left on his contract with the club. There are conflicting reports about his desire to leave and not renew his contract, while his name is receiving considerable attention from English clubs, most notably Manchester United.
Manchester United have emerged as serious contenders for Gianluigi Donnarumma's signature, with Andre Onana struggling to cement his place since joining the club. The Red Devils' interest comes after Tottenham's Europa League triumph over them in May.
Meanwhile, PSG appear to have proactively addressed their goalkeeping situation by securing Lille's rising star Lucas Chevalier in a €40 million deal. The 23-year-old shot-stopper has committed his future to the Parisian club until 2029 and could make his debut against Spurs. This move potentially paves the way for Donnarumma's departure from the French champions.
