Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski, according to a report from Fanatik.
The Premier League side are looking to improve their midfield options and they have identified the 24-year-old Polish midfielder as a potential target.
Szymanski has been a key player for the Turkish club this season and he has picked up 12 goals and 14 assists in 39 matches across all competitions. He could prove to be the ideal alternative to James Maddison. When the England international was injured earlier in the season, Tottenham missed his creativity and the ability to open up defences.
They need to add more quality and depth to their squad if they want to compete at the highest level. Signing a quality backup option to Maddison should be one of their priorities in the summer.
The 26-year-old England international has transformed Tottenham this season and he has been an indispensable asset for them. The arrival of Szymanski will allow Tottenham to rotate their key players more often.

In addition to that, the Polish international is versatile enough to operate as a winger as well. He will add goals and creativity in the final third. He has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League and his versatility should make him a useful option in the attack for Ange Postecoglou.
It will be interesting to see if the Turkish out are prepared to sign is departure for a reasonable price at the end of the season. Other European clubs like Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are keeping tabs on the player as well.
