Tottenham have been dealt a fresh injury concern after Brennan Johnson injured his knee during their 1-1 draw with West Ham on Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old forward, who fired Spurs into an early lead, headed straight down the tunnel after being replaced by Giovanni Lo Celso in the 90th minute.

Johnson picked up an assist in a 2-1 victory over Luton on Saturday before scoring against the Hammers, taking his Premier League goal tally to five this season.

The Welsh international will hope to recover from his knee knock in time for Sunday’s clash with his former side Nottingham Forest.

Long-term absentees Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon and Fraser Forster remain out.

Brennan Johnson

The winger appeared to be in some discomfort after limping off late in last night’s stalemate at the London Stadium.

In his post-match interview with TNT Sport Johnson was wearing a bandage around his knee.

“I think it’s all good,” Johnson said. “Just from a corner, I’m not sure who it was, I got a kick in my knee and it kind of stiffened up a bit but it’s fine.”

Potential return date: Sunday, April 8 vs Nottingham Forest

Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon’s Spurs career has been blighted by constant injury issues. The 23-year-old has only played seven minutes this season, coming on as a late substitute in a FA Cup 3rd round victory over Burnley.

The former Fulham man is currently out after requiring surgery on his right hamstring following an Under-21s game in February. He had another operation on his other hamstring last summer.

It is unlikely Sessegnon will return to action this season.

Potential return date: Summer 2024

Manor Solomon

Solomon underwent “minor” surgery to his meniscus on his right knee two weeks ago.

The Israeli winger has missed most of the season, only featuring in the Premier League five times after his move to north London.

Solomon “is still not anywhere near rejoining the group,” Ange Postecoglou revealed last month.

Potential return date: Summer 2024
