In a recent report, talkSPORT mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for Leicester City ace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. It has been stated that Spurs are ready to rival Brighton and Hove Albion in the race to land the English midfielder in the summer.

Dewsbury-Hall’s Excellent Season In The Championship

Dewsbury-Hall is having an impressive campaign in the EFL Championship as he has managed to put in several match-winning performances at the heart of Leicester’s midfield. The English midfield ace has featured in 44 matches for the Foxes this season, netting 12 goals and grabbing 14 assists in all competitions.

The 25-year-old has given a good account of himself at the centre of the park based on his average of 1.2 tackles, 0.7 clearances, 2.1 shots, 2.5 key passes, 1.4 crosses and 1.4 dribbles per game in the EFL Championship. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from midfield after making 83.9% of his attempted passes in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the King Power Stadium will run out in the summer of 2027 which would make it difficult for Spurs to arrange a cut-price move for him at the end of this campaign.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu Move In For Dewsbury-Hall?

Dewsbury-Hall is a solid tackler of the ball and can clear the danger when needed. He is a good crosser of the ball as well and can make some decent plays for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

The English sensation can strike the ball purely and with power from long range and is an energetic runner with the ball. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also play in the number ten position or as a holding midfielder if asked to do so.

Dewsbury-Hall would bring more goals and creativity to Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglu’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 25, Dewsbury-Hall’s best years are ahead of him which makes him a good option for the North London club to pursue in the summer. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in top-flight football. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting him, so Spurs should move in for him later this year.
