In a recent report, Aksam claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Fenerbahce playmaker Sebastian Szymanski. It is understood that Spurs would have to rival AC Milan and Napoli in the race to land the Polish attacker in the summer.
Szymanski is having a decent campaign at the Turkish club after he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Polish talent has featured in 46 matches for Fenerbahce this season, scoring 12 goals and picking up 14 assists across all competitions.
The 24-year-old has proven his worth in the opponent’s half based on his average of 2.2 tackles, 2.3 shots and 1.9 key passes per game in the Turkish Super Lig. He has even been accurate when distributing possession after making 78.5% of his attempted passes in the Turkish top flight (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turkish club will expire in the summer of 2027, so Spurs would have to launch a big offer if they are serious about winning the race for his services in the upcoming transfer period.

Szymanski is a tough-tackling playmaker who can make life tough for the opposition when defending inside his half. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can create a handful of promising chances for others around him in the opponent’s half.
The Polish sensation is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a right-winger or as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level and could struggle to adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting someone with Szymanski’s skillset. Thus, Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu should consider moving in for the Polish sensation in the summer transfer window.
At 24, Szymanski has got his peak years ahead of him which makes him a good option for the North London club to consider at the end of this campaign. However, Postecoglu would have to be patient with his development if he wants to get the best out of him in the future.
