Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm has hailed an ‘amazing’ pre-season tour and praised his team-mates for a fine unbeaten record.
Spurs did not lose a game during the International Champions Cup over in America, beating Serie A duo Roma and AC Milan while drawing 2-2 with Barcelona.
Vorm, who deputised in the absence of World Cup winner Hugo Lloris, did admit that results are not the most important thing during pre-season but was delighted with the record nonetheless.
“The Tour has been very positive,” he told Tottenham’s official website. “We didn’t lose in 90 minutes in three games against Roma, Barcelona and Milan, that has to be a huge compliment for everyone.
“And the fans… we get an incredible reaction out here. You come to Minneapolis and you are thinking ‘where do all these fans come from?’
“It’s unbelievable. All combined I think it was an amazing trip in every way. Okay, results are less important, but we’ve got the results as well!”
