Tottenham eye €13m rated Werder Bremen midfielder Thomas Delaney

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Werder Bremen midfielder Thomas Delaney.

According to Bild, the 26-year-old ‘dreams’ of playing in the Premier League and Spurs are keen on giving him his wish.

The report adds that Delaney – contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2021 – would cost Tottenham around €13m.

Described as “a genuine box-to-box midfielder” who provides “the vital link between defence and attack”, Delaney could be the heir to Mousa Dembélé’s throne.

Danish teammate Christian Eriksen could encourage him to choose north London over any other offers.

The 26-year-old, who bagged an assist in Denmark’s 1-0 win over Panama on Thursday, has started 25 Bundesliga games this season.
