Tottenham Hotspur duo Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane broke a Premier League record as Spurs came from two goals down to earn a draw against Manchester United.
No player in Premier League history has assisted a single teammate to score more times than Harry Kane has for Son Heung-min (24).
Only Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba have recorded as many as 24.
Son scored in the dying minute to give Spurs one point after they fought hard in the second half.
Spurs had gone down early in the first half, with Jadon Sancho opening the scoring in the seventh minute.
United were well and truly on top, and Marcus Rashford doubled the lead just before the break.
Whatever interim manager Ryan Mason said at half-time must have worked, as his boys came out with more intent.
Eleven minutes into the second half, they pulled one back through big-money signing Pedro Porro.
A dangerous cross from Ivan Perisic came out to the wing-back, and he struck it as sweetly as possible beyond David De Gea.
Spurs created several chances but didn’t put the ball in the back of the net till the 79th minute.
Cristian Romero won a headed duel, and Harry Kane picked up the ball before slicing the Man Utd defence with an inch-perfect cross for his partner to score.
Man Utd coach Erik ten Hag said they planned to stop Kane, but it did not work.
Son went to hug the new coach, probably not knowing much about the record.
United remain in fourth position as Newcastle United beat Everton tonight to consolidate their third position.
The Red Devils are still six points clear of fifth-placed Spurs and have two games in hand.
On the other hand, Spurs can take this as an encouraging sign after the happenings over the past week.
The players showed fight and spirit to bounce back from adversity. They deserve all the plaudits for it.
Next, Erik ten Hag and his boys welcome high-flying Aston Villa to Old Trafford this Sunday. Spurs will face Liverpool that same day.
