Tottenham complete signing of Sergio Reguilón

Tottenham have officially completed the signing of Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilón.

Reguilón joins the club on a five-year deal, for a reported fee of €30m plus €5m in bonuses.

Manchester United were also interested in the 23-year-old but refused to accept certain clauses put forward by Madrid.

It’s understood that Los Blancos will hold a buy-back option (worth €40m) that can be triggered in the next two years.

The Spain international spent last season on loan at Sevilla, making 36 appearances as they won a record sixth Europa League.
