Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
Spurs have not revealed the length of the winger’s contract, but The Athletic claims his new deal will run until 2031.
Tottenham’s opening bid worth £50 million was rejected, as West Ham wanted a fee closer to the 24-year-old’s £85m release clause.
However, with Kudus expressing a strong desire to join Spurs, the two clubs worked to bridge the gap and agreed to a £55m transfer deal.
The Ghana international began his career at Nordsjaelland, before joining Ajax in 2020.
The forward’s excellent performances convinced West Ham to pay £38m to sign him in 2023.
Kudus had an impressive debut campaign, bagging 14 goals and nine assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
He failed to maintain the same standards last season, tallying only five goals and four assists in 35 matches.
Despite his struggles, the winger’s explosive energy and dribbling prowess should make him a valuable asset for Tottenham.
Many Tottenham fans were unhappy when chairman Daniel Levy sacked manager Ange Postecoglou and replaced him with Thomas Frank.
However, the supporters will be pleased with their activity in the transfer market this summer.
They have signed Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel permanently after their impressive loan spells. Young talents Luka Vuskovic and Kota Takai have also joined the club.
