Aston Villa clashed heads with Zrinjski at Stadion Bijeli Brijeg earlier this evening as they looked to secure a victory on the road in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Villans made a good start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.

Nicolo Zaniolo gave Aston Villa the lead in the 61st minute. However, the home team responded positively and equaliser in the 87th minute thanks to Matija Malekinusic’s effort. The contest ended with Aston Villa earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home.
