Aston Villa keen on Inter’s Denzel Dumfries | OneFootball

Premier League side Aston Villa are interested in the possibility of signing Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries in the summer transfer window.

The Birmingham-based side are currently a win away from qualifying for the Champions League under Unai Emery and they could be making big moves away from the pitch as well. La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Dumfries did attract interest from Manchester United till January 2023, but it has now faded away even though the interest was intense at one point.

Signs of interest from United faded away and now, Villa are interested. Dumfries’ entourage knows about it well and playing in the Premier League is said to be a target for the Netherlands international, who was appealed by United and he would be interested in a move to England. It remains to be seen whether he is keen on Villa, as things stand.

Inter want €30 million to let him go, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2025 and the Nerazzurri do not want to lose another player on a free transfer.
