West Ham legend Tony Cottee has insisted that the Hammers will control their top seven destiny if they beat Wolves on the road today.

The Hammers are sitting seventh in the Premier League table on 45 points and are still in line to qualify for Europe again this season.

They are just a point ahead of Newcastle, who have played a game fewer than West Ham and are facing the heat of dropping out of the European spots.

West Ham are without a win in their last four Premier League games and Cottee stressed the importance of getting all three points from their trip to the Molineux today.

The Hammers legend feels a win away from home today will still mean that they will control their top seven destiny and he is confident that David Moyes’ side will edge out a victory.

Cottee took to X and wrote: “Yet another big game today and that top 7 finish is still in our hands if we win at Wolves.

“I’m confident, 2-1 to the Hammers.”

West Ham will be desperate to get back to winning ways in order to try and secure European football for next season.
