EintrachtTech honoured for innovation achievements.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s digital subsidiary EintrachtTech has been honoured at the German SME Summit, picking up the Top 100 seal for the fourth year in a row. In a scientific selection process, EintrachtTech rated very highly in the ‘innovation success’ bracket, finishing third in Germany in size category A (companies with up to 50 employees).
“The subsidiary of Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has been responsible for its digital presence and future plans for four years,” reads the TOP 100 company profile, which was published after the award was announced. “What the small yet highly innovative team of digital and marketing experts has managed to achieve in only four years is astonishing.”
Aside from developing Eintracht’s core systems and the mainaqila app, EintrachtTech GmbH is behind the creation of the ‘Arena of IoT’ digital centre at Deutsche Bank Park, Eintracht’s esports exploits, and all the club’s technological and digital events.
“This latest award, and a third-place finish in Germany, are incentives for us to continue on our path,” said Timm Jäger, CEO of EintrachtTech. “We still have plenty of projects ahead of us, all with the aim of safeguarding Eintracht’s technological independence, protecting the data of our supporters and opening up new business areas for Eintracht.” The jury was also impressed with EintrachtTech’s innovation management, which was rated ‘A+’. According to TOP 100, companies with an ‘A’ rating are characterised by outstanding professional innovation management which sets international standards and offers a high probability of future innovation success.
The next step for EintrachtTech is to focus on developing the new ‘Software Distribution’ business area. “We’re talking to football clubs and explicitly clubs from other sports, both in Germany and abroad, as well as operators of stadiums and other venues,” explained Jäger. “The fact that we know the requirements of sports organisations and stadium operators as a club here in Frankfurt, and that we’ve developed all of our core systems ourselves, means there’s a great deal of trust and interest in our discussions.”
