Dino Toppmöller, Kevin Trapp and two-goal hero Ansgar Knauff give their reaction to the 4-0 win over Leipzig.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “That was a statement win, we’re proud of it. We had a score that we wanted to settle. You could tell that from the start, the activity from the boys was good. A normal week of training has done us good, we were very fresh. Credit to the team and the whole staff. We’re in a really good position but the job isn’t done yet.”

Kevin Trapp: “We’ve taken a huge step with the six-point lead – there are still nine to play for. A win against direct rivals is job done, as they say. Now it’s about continuing that and getting our reward for the whole season. It was incredibly loud, we saw a lot of smiling faces. These are the moments you play football for, at the end of the day.”

Ansgar Knauff: “It was just about a perfect game. We had a good energy from the first minute onwards and implemented what we wanted to do: getting in behind the last line with pace. It was a big, important step and we’re going to do everything to round it off successfully in the final few weeks. We’re in a good position.”
