MIAMI – The Leagues Cup 2025 continued with six matches on Tuesday as part of Phase One of the Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the crown and three spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

The day presented six outright wins in regulation, with three wins for MLS sides as well as for Liga MX clubs. Toluca FC became the first side to took its place in the Quarterfinals due to the night’s results.

Columbus Crew 1-0 Club León

Columbus Crew defeated Club León 1-nil at Lower.com Field in Columbus Ohio, USA.

Max Arfsten scored the winner for the Crew in the 53’ with his second goal of the tournament.

Toluca FC 2-1 New York City FC

Reigning Liga MX champions Toluca FC secured a 2-1 comeback win against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium in Yankee Stadium in New York City, New York, USA.

Alonso Martínez handed the hosts the lead in the 10’, placing the ball at the right-bottom corner.

Jesús Angulo equalized for Toluca with a header from close range in the 37’.

Paulinho secured the comeback for the Liga MX side in the 39’, finding the back of the net with a right-footed finish from inside the box. Paulinho is now tied in first place as top scorer in the competition with four goals.

CF Montréal 1-2 Club Puebla

Club Puebla won 2-1 against CF Montréal at Stade Saputo in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Prince Owusu broke the deadlock in the 47’ to give Montréal the lead.

Gómez equalized for Puebla in the 58’ with a left-footed finish from inside the box.

Ricardo Marín sealed the comeback for Puebla in the 73’

Houston Dynamo 1-2 CF Pachuca.

Valakari would seal his brace and three points for San Diego in the 74’.

Tigres UANL 1-2 Los Angeles FC Los Angeles FC topped Tigres UANL 2-1 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, USA.

David Martínez scored from the penalty spot in the 38’ for the MLS side to pull ahead.

Iván López equalized for Tigres in the 47’, heading home a precise free kick delivery into the box from Juan Brunetta.

Martínez scored his second of the night in 64’ with a finish to the near post from the left end of the box for LAFC to claim all three points.
