Toluca in talks with Sevilla for Luuk de Jong | OneFootball

Luuk De Jong is a Sevilla player but is currently on loan with Barcelona.

According to El Desmarque, Toluca have entered talks with Sevilla and the offer would be in the region of €5 million for the Dutch striker.

The player would reportedly prefer to stay in Europe for a longer period of time, however, an offer from Los Diablos could change the player’s mind.

Liga MX starts in July and it’s not the first time a Mexican club has been interested in De Jong.

In 2019, Club América looked to sign De Jong. The player’s father even travelled to the country to discuss the offer, but the conditions were not as expected and he stayed in Europe.

The Liga MX transfer window is open until September 5. However, the Apertura 2022 will start earlier than usual due to the 2022 World Cup.

For this reason, they have already opened talks with Sevilla, seeking to close the deal before July so that the striker can participate in the opening league games.
