On the 30th of August 2002, Real Madrid got their hands on their first ever UEFA Super Cup. Our team got the better of Feyenoord (3-1) at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco, having booked their place in the competition when they lifted La Novena in Glasgow thanks to a Raúl strike and Zidane's legendary volley.

Against Feyenoord, Real Madrid went ahead with 15 minutes on the clock when Paauwe deflected a Roberto Carlos cross from the left into his own net. Six minutes later, the Brazilian fullback was involved again, popping up inside the box this time to make it 2-0.
