Chelsea have a real battle on their hands this week if they are to continue defending their European Champions crown.

They could be out of the Champions League at the quarter-finals stage if they cannot do the near impossible task of going to Real Madrid and scoring at least two goals without reply to even take it through to extra time.

Thomas Tuchel’s side lost 3-1 in the first leg last week and although anything is possible in this sport, it’s going to be a ridiculously tough task.

Timo Werner had probably his best game in a Chelsea shirt on Saturday against Southampton bagging two goals in a 6-0 win. He should have scored more.

This performance has not guaranteed him a start versus Real Madrid on Tuesday though according to The Telegraph, who report Tuchel ‘may’ drop the striker this week even after his top performance at the weekend.
