Team News: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals that Manchester United could have Harry Maguire back from injury vs Leicester City

Speaking in the pre-match press conference (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Harry Maguire has resumed training and could be back from injury to face Leicester City on Saturday.

The Red Devils are set to face the Foxes on the weekend as they look to put more pressure on the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

While facing the King Power outfit is a tough game in itself, Solskjaer had received a blow a couple of days ago when it was confirmed that Raphael Varane will be out for a ‘few weeks’ after suffering a muscle injury.

This was probably the last thing the Norwegian wanted, given that Harry Maguire was yet to join training after suffering a calf injury against Aston Villa last month. However, in what could be a much-needed boost for the club, their captain has come through for them as he has resumed training.

“Harry’s just joined us on the grass this morning, that’s the first time he’s been on the grass. Amad: first time on the grass today as well. So we look quite strong.”

Moreover, it has also been touted that Victor Lindelof could start the game while Eric Bailly might make his first league appearance since May if Maguire cannot make it back in time.

Regardless, this is good news for United because even if the Englishman cannot feature in the Leicester game, he could be back to face the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City in the next three weeks.
