The Red Devils return to ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ for the first time since March and Marc Skinner’s side look set to be cheered on by a record-breaking crowd which could yet reach 40,000.
Manchester United provided a ticket update this morning via a post on their official club Twitter account. The Red Devils had announced earlier in the week than in excess of 30,000 tickets had been sold but that figure has now risen to more than 36,000 with 24 hours to go until kick-off. The attendance is set to smash the current record for a Manchester United Women’s game at Old Trafford with 20,241 having previously attended the game against Everton at the venue in the second half of last season.
Manchester United’s latest appearance at Old Trafford is just their third in the short history of the senior women’s team. They defeated West Ham United 2-0 behind-closed-doors in their first appearance at the club’s traditional home in 2020/2021 before coming from behind to defeat Everton 3-1 in front of a record crowd last season.
Tickets for Manchester United’s latest fixture against Aston Villa remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
