Thuram offers to replace Lukaku shirt for Inter fan | OneFootball

Marcus Thuram has offered to buy a new Inter shirt for one fan who hid Romelu Lukaku’s name during the recent Scudetto party.

The French striker took on the number 9 shirt when he joined on a free transfer last summer and quickly justified the iconic choice, forming a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez as he proved himself to be one of the signings of the summer.

Thuram has shined under Simone Inzaghi this term, scoring 14 goals and providing 13 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, playing a crucial role in Inter’s charge to their 20th Scudetto. He now looks set to be an important part of the France squad for the upcoming European Championship.

On his Instagram page, Thuram shared a photo of one fan wearing a 2019-20 Inter home shirt with the number 9 on the back. The name, which would’ve been Lukaku’s, was covered up and replaced with a handwritten Thuram with two stars added.

The Nerazzurri striker offered to get a replacement for the fan, writing: “Guys, comment and share, help me find him and I will give him the new shirt.”

Looking at the comments, it seems that the Frenchman hasn’t received much help from supporters, although his teammate Alessandro Bastoni chimed in to say ‘Here I am’.
