In terms of recruitment Richard Hughes is looking to take Liverpool into the stratosphere this summer.
We've already seen the Reds bring in world-class players including the likes of Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.
But they won't stop there. Liverpool are about to make an attempt to sign Alexander Isak, having made contact with Newcastle and there is a possibility that they could lure the Swede to Anfield.
Pulling that off on top of the Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong deals will be incredible. It would make Liverpool by far the favourites to retain the Premier League title next season.
However, Hughes will not stop there. The Reds have plans to bring in another centre-back and they are also working on a deal for a left-winger should they receive a suitable offer for Luis Diaz.
And this has seen them ready to enter the race for an exciting winger, who is undoubtedly world-class.
According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Liverpool will enter the race to sign Rodrygo soon with Arne Slot appreciating the Brazilian winger.
Rodrygo is reportedly free to leave Real Madrid this summer, with the Spanish side wanting around at least £70m for his services. This is roughly the same figure Liverpool would be willing to entertain offers for Luis Diaz so it would make sense if the Reds were indeed ready to sign Rodrygo in the event the right offer did arrive for the Colombian.
Especially, because Diaz seems open and even keen to leave the club for pastures new. Rodrygo on the other hand is someone who looks ready to prove himself elsewhere, and Liverpool could be the perfect destination.
For years now, Rodrygo has been unable to play in his preferred left-wing role at Real Madrid. But if Diaz leaves, Rodrygo will be able to do that at Anfield.
And it's not like the Champions League winning winger is a stranger to the club's scouts. Liverpool tried to sign Rodrygo back when he was just 16-years-old in 2017, so he's been on the Reds' radar for some time.
Knowing that fact will probably entice Rodrygo to favour a move to Anfield. He'll be well aware that the club have liked him for almost a decade now.
And there's no denying if Liverpool were to sign him they would be getting a world-class player. Someone who at 24-years-old already has 39 goal contributions in 64 Champions League matches and has made 270 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions.
With Rodrygo on the left, Isak through the middle, Salah on the right, and Wirtz behind them, Liverpool could form one of the deadliest teams ever assembled.
It would be a ridiculous team, and if Hughes gets it all done, he will have played an absolute blinder.
