He might be one of the most affable men in football, but Tottenham’s Son Heung-min was shown a deserved red card on Sunday.
The South Korean petulantly kicked out at Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger and after checking with VAR, referee Anthony Taylor gave him his marching orders.
It is Son’s third red card in 2019 and according to Opta, he is the first Premier League player to pick up three red cards in a calendar year since Lee Cattermole!
And this stat is also rather mad …
That will be a three-match ban for Son, meaning he will miss the upcoming games against Brighton, Norwich and Southampton.
Naughty boy.
