Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Real Madrid to the Parc des Princes for the first-leg in their UEFA Champions League matchup in less than three weeks.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois spoke with Spanish media outlet AS about various topics ahead of the matchup. One of them was which forward is the Belgium international most worried about when they have an opportunity to shoot the ball.

Lionel Messi has scored on various occasions against Courtois, so the 29-year-old knows that the Argentine can find a way to place a shot that beats him. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé has taken a lot of the goal-scoring responsibilities this season at PSG.

“PSG have great players like Messi, Mbappé, Neymar… but it’s more than that. It is a complete block,” Courtois said.

“They have talent in all lines, but today’s football is more of a team than of individuals because if you’re afraid, in quotes, of someone, then it turns out that another appears and complicates you. It is true that a talented player can score a goal out of nowhere, but you have to worry more about stopping their virtues as a team.

The past two seasons, PSG has made two deep runs in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the final and semi-final. This year they’re hoping for another lengthy run, but this time the Ligue 1 side hopes they’ll be able to lift the trophy that’s long eluded them.
