Getafe president Ángel Torres has this week made crystal clear his bemusement with those currently in charge of Spanish football.
This comes as the Azulones prepare to bid farewell to another Premier League-bound member of their first-team ranks.
José Bordalás and co. have already been forced into one painful sale this summer, after Omar Alderete took his talents to England with Sunderland.
And if the latest comments on the part of Getafe’s president are anything to go by, then another looks set to follow suit this week.
The capital outfit are fresh off keeping alive a fine start to the new season on Monday, courtesy of a 2-1 triumph at Sevilla.
Speaking to the media ahead of kick-off in the clash, however, the aforementioned Ángel Torres confirmed that star attacker Christantus Uche is primed for a Premier League switch, too.
This comes amid ongoing financial pressure on the Spanish top-flight’s clubs by way of La Liga:
“I’m forced to sell him; I have no other choice. Tomorrow he’ll have his medical and the deal will be signed. We know we have to sell. We’re not in favour of selling the best players. I think we’re ruining La Liga. They’re forcing us to sell. We’ve had to sell Alderete and now Uche, but hey, the rule is the rule and we have to abide by it.”
