Former Premier League striker Alan Shearer is the latest to be speaking on Chelsea’s title chances this season, with it being a big subject.
Everyone is speaking about whether Chelsea can win the title this season or not. Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes they are one of the favourites. But other pundits as well as Enzo Maresca himself, are saying that Chelsea are not yet ready to challenge for the title.
Shearer, who was one of the best strikers to ever play the game and turned out for Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, and the England national team during his extensive and impressive career, is finding it hard to decide if he believes Chelsea are challengers or not.
He is of course now a respected pundit, and many fans enjoy tuning in to see what he has to say on current affairs in the game. And Chelsea of course, are the absolute talk of the town right now.

Who knows what to expect this season? Nobody expected Chelsea to even be in the top four this season let alone be in the title talk. But the fact is, they are currently second, so right now, they can’t not be in the title talk.
Shearer feels that they will have a blip though going forward at some point this season.
Shearer said on Chelsea: “In the position they’re in, it’s very difficult to turn around and say a definite no, they can’t [win the league]. I still think they’ll have a little blip. I don’t expect them to win it, no, but they’re having an unbelievable season.”
They certainly are having an unbelievable season beyond all expectations – Maresca has really been working miracles there.
