The Foxes travel to the Leigh Sports Village to face The Red Devils in the day’s early kick-off.
When speaking in the pre-match press conference, Leicester City boss Kirk said that Manchester United are a team that offer their opponents chances and ultimately, you have to take them.
“What we’ve noticed is that they give you chances and they concede goals,” Kirk said. “That’s one thing that has been evident in their three games so far this season, they’ve conceded in every game. We need to make sure that it happens again if we are to take anything from it.
“They’re also very good in the front areas. Ella Toone and whoever is in the front-three will be dangerous and will pose some strong threats.
“They’re balancing a busy schedule with our game being in-between the two games against Paris Saint-Germain, so it’ll be interesting to see how they deal with it. The WSL has to be everybody’s priority because you don’t get Champions League unless you do your WSL business. I can’t see them rotating too much and it’ll be as close as possible to their strongest XI.”
Leicester City travel to the North West on the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions. Kirk is really happy with how his much-changed side have started the new season.
He said “It’s really positive. We are still a work-in-progress and there are a lot of improvements to be made but I am really happy with where we are.
“We keep setting different challenges and moving the goalposts for the players and they keep responding really well.
“We expect another slight improvement in the performance (against Manchester United) and time will tell if that improvement in performance will be enough to take points. We are certainly setting out to take points from Manchester and bring them back to Leicester.”
Leicester City’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Manchester United kicks-off at 12pm.
