Marcus Thuram netted a hat-trick as Inter Milan returned to winning ways in Serie A with a 3-2 win over 10 man Torino
Scorers: Thuram 25', 35', 60'; Zapata 36', Vlasic 86' (pen)
The San Siro side began the game on the front foot but were given a massive helping hand as Torino quickly found themselves reduced to 10 men after just 20 minutes, with centre-back Guillermo Maripan seeing red for a high challenge on Thuram.
The Inter striker quickly capitalised, opening the scoring with a header just five minutes later, before an almost identical goal doubled the Nerazzurri's advantage just after half an hour.
Duvan Zapata reduced the advantage to just one moments later, heading into the break a goal and a man down.
The second half was dominated by the home side though, with Thuram grabbing his and Inter's third on the hour mark to put the result largely beyond doubt, while the San Siro side wasted several other good opportunities to extend their advantage.
That could have come back to bite them late on, as Nicola Vlasic grabbed a second goal for Torino from the spot after Calhanoglu was adjudged to have fouled Adam Masina.
But despite the late goal, Inter held on for another win to continue their strong early defence of their Serie A crown.
The three points move Inter into second place and just behind Antonio Conte's Napoli, while Torino's early season promise has been somewhat snuffed out.
