The 2024 European Championship lineup is complete after this month’s play-offs, with the continent’s finest nations to compete for the trophy this summer.

Germany is the host nation for what promises to be a summer of unforgettable action, an event that will see some of the biggest names in the sport shine.

Following the conclusion of the qualification phase for the finals, we’ve looked at the top scorers from Euro 2024 qualifying.

Scott McTominay – Scotland (7)

Scotland are set to compete at their second successive European Championship, in large part thanks to a purple patch from Scott McTominay. The Manchester United midfielder is in the midst of the best goalscoring campaign of his career at club level and has been in prolific form for Scotland across the last 12 months.

McTominay began the qualification phase with a late brace in a 3-0 win over Cyprus at Hampden Park, before scoring another double to down Spain in a shock Scotland win at the same venue three days later.

The 27-year-old had scored just once in his first 37 appearances for Scotland but has now netted seven times in his last 12. His seven goals in qualifying made him Group A’s leading scorer, ahead of Erling Haaland (6).

Rasmus Hojlund – Denmark (7)

Rasmus Hojlund announced his arrival on the international scene in Euro 2024 qualification, marking his full Denmark debut with a hat-trick against Finland.

The 21-year-old added further goals against Kazakhstan (2), Slovenia and San Marino, as Denmark topped Group H to reach the tournament. The Manchester United forward will face England, Slovenia and Serbia in the group stage at Euro 2024.

Harry Kane – England (8)

England secured a comfortable passage to Euro 2024 after topping Group C ahead of Italy, scoring 22 goals and conceding just four in their eight qualification fixtures.

Harry Kane scored eight goals for the Three Lions, including a penalty against Italy in March 2023 that saw him surpass Wayne Rooney as England’s record goalscorer.

The 30-year-old will be crucial to England’s hopes of a drought-breaking tournament success this summer and now boasts a record of 62 goals in 89 appearances for the national team.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Portugal (10)

Cristiano Ronaldo might be approaching his 40th birthday but the evergreen icon remains one of the best goalscorers in the game.

Ronaldo scored 10 goals as Portugal produced a perfect record in qualification, winning all 10 fixtures and scoring 36 times in the process.

The 39-year-old holds the records for most European Championship goals in qualification (41) and in the tournament itself (14) and is, incredibly, preparing for a record-extending sixth Euros this summer.

He has scored in each of his previous five appearances and will surpass Ivica Vastić as the oldest goalscorer at a European Championship with a goal this summer. Portugal – who have impressed under head coach Roberto Martinez – will face Georgia, the Czech Republic and Turkey in the group stage.

Romelu Lukaku – Belgium (14)

Romelu Lukaku was in record-breaking form during qualification for Euro 2024, setting a new landmark for the most goals scored in a single qualification phase.

The Belgium international scored a staggering 14 goals in eight games, including a hat-trick against Sweden and a four-goal haul against Azerbaijan.

Lukaku broke the 13-goal record previously held by Northern Ireland’s David Healy and Poland’s Robert Lewandowski and extended his record as Belgium’s all-time leading scorer.

The 30-year-old is now the eighth-highest scoring male player in international football history, with 83 goals for the Red Devils.
